A LITTLE RESOURCEFULNESS

Before you buy something new.

Start with what you already have.

Check whether cleaning, repairing, borrowing, or buying secondhand can solve the need. The point is a useful everyday—not a constant shopping habit.

Read beyond “recycled” or “natural.”

Look for the percentage, material source, who verified it, and how to care for the finished item. One favorable attribute does not establish a product’s entire environmental impact.

Check the whole purchase.

Confirm the seller, total cost, delivery time, return address, and return costs before paying. A discount is only useful if the product fits your need.
